Black debt - feature by CNN

Are we waiting to become an issue? I think this is the general state of black economy. When politicians on the African continent speak about economic emancipation, they refer to a socialist agenda rather than to state of wealth. For most ruling parties, economic empowerment us for those who've sacrificed for the current political agenda.

I dare you to ask 10 of your black/African friends if they will realize wealth in the next two years. I doubt you'll get and honest answer.

The series featured by CNN: "Almighty Debt", so far I have seen the first episode. Books such as "The Capitalist Nigger" have also covered this topic from a different angle. BUT they are satin the same thing. Are you listening?

I live on South Africa. I would not have it any other way! For the simple reason I love my country!

Several articles and coverage of this  has been done by many other bloggers and web writers. George Alexander(sic)  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/george-alexander/my-review-of-cnns-almight_b_771155.html posted a piece on it. One of many I had to read before presenting my opinion on it. The Hinterland Gazette http://blackpoliticalthought.blogspot.com/2010/10/new-cnn-black-in-america-documentary.html, also had an interview with .

This, the dark continent, is where all this is pointing to. The root of Black poverty and subsequently Black Wealth. This, the heart of the world Diamond rich plateau's and belts of Maize and Copper.  Africa, is rich in minerals which over the past few millennia, it has been colonised and explored and exploited for those minerals.

But the thought of wealth for its inhabitants is as much an insult as it is a curse. The hierarchy of debt for any people, starts on two ends.

BlackPoverty

  1. The first end, (1) individual and their contribution to the society they live in. This individualism is driven (in my opinion, but let me know what you think) by the following factors:
    • Education foundation. Are the core basics of literacy and numeracy in place? Are Life skills taught early enough as enabler? In Primary education, is personal finance taught and trained? Are business and systems thinking introduced early enough as an empowerment tool? – We have moved away from communal living and this is currently confided to semi-urban, peri-urban and rural South Africa.

A friend, Oscar, made a suggestion which works to explain some of the frustration above….http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trickle-down_economics -
